The Principal for the Day will receive an official school whistle to use during the school day and keep as a memento of the experience. Six lucky Mar Vista students will get the opportunity to have an ART ADVENTURE with Mrs. Choe (Principal), Mrs. Ombao (Coordinator), and Mrs. Park (Art Instructor). Spend a fun and exciting afternoon creating beautiful and masterful artwork. All art supplies will be sent home after the adventure so students can continue creating masterpieces at home. A pizza lunch will be provided. This outing will take place on the school campus right after EARLY dismissal on Friday, May 2nd at 1:10pm-3:30pm. Kids come to the main office at the end of the school day (shortened day). Pick up in Rm 36 (enter school through gates on Stoner).

Maestra Stef is looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and well-behaved 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade student to help teach Español! One student per grade.  Job duties include: accompanying Maestra Stef to different classes throughout the day, helping count how many students are in each classroom, assisting with “Perezoso,” “Mano,” and other materials, helping teach Español by introducing new words and concepts, correcting students when needed, encouraging classmates to use Spanish during class, assisting with games, birthdays, and other activities, and most importantly—having fun while learning and teaching more Español!

These students will get to spend the day with Mr. Jaylen, helping him in the library. Job duties will include: Choosing a read-aloud book, reading the read-aloud book (age dependent), dismissing students to check out books, scanning books, and calling students when prepared to check out.
