Three spectacular second graders are invited to paint their own mugs at Color Me Mine and then enjoy a Hawaiian donut from Holey Grail Donuts. This outing will begin with parents dropping off their child at Color Me Mine in Santa Monica on April 10th at 4:00 p.m. Pick-up will be from Holy Grail Donuts at 6:00 PM. The winners from Room 10 will join Miss De Armas and the winners from Room 10.

With those duties come special privileges: sitting at Miss Bartelt's desk, entering "teacher only" areas, eating in the classroom and handing out award certificates at the 2nd grade assembly. The winner will also enjoy lunch with Miss Bartelt and the other 2nd grade Teacher for the Day winners. This will take place on May 12th at school.

2ND GRADE, ROOM 27, MISS BARTELT: VISIT DAPHNEYLAND - BASSET HOUND DOG RESCUE!

Calling all dog lovers! The top 3 winners from room 27 will spend a Saturday visiting and volunteering at the dog rescue ranch! There are 70 adorable basset hounds waiting to be adopted. Help feed them, give them baths, and play with them! Then, enjoy lunch at In-n-Out before heading back home. This outing will take place on Saturday in April. Miss Bartelt to coordinate with the winners. Parents will drop off at school at 8:00am and pick up from school at 2:00pm. A Saturday in April TBD after speaking with dog rescue.

Job duties will include: taking attendance on paper, teaching lessons, making announcements to the class, leading read-aloud assignments, and dismissing students for recess/lunch. With those duties come special privileges: sitting at the teacher’s front desk, eating in class during recess and lunch, and handing out award certificates at the 2nd-grade assembly. The winner will also enjoy lunch with Ms. Hong and other 2nd grade Teacher for the Day winners. This will take place on May 12th at school.

2ND GRADE, ROOM 28, MS. HONG: CLAY SCULPTING AND CRAFTING!

Mrs. Hong invites three students for an afternoon of hand sculpting where you’ll shape and create small, unique clay creations with your own hands. Whether you’re crafting tiny animals, magical creatures, or anything you can imagine, this is your chance to bring your ideas to life and take them home! We will also enjoy delicious snacks and drinks as we create! This activity will take place right after school in Room 28 on Wednesday, April 23 from 2:45-4:15 pm. Pick up will be at the main entrance to the school on Granville Avenue.
